BMU is currently in the process of our Fall Hydrant Flushing and Flow Testing. This process will continue until all hydrants have been flushed.

What You Need to Know:

• You may notice temporary cloudy water.
• Before doing laundry, please run a faucet to

check water clarity.

Why We Flush Hydrants:

• Improved Water Quality-Flushing removes built-up sediment from the water mains.
• Fire Safety & Flow Testing-Ensures hydrants provide adequate flow for fire protection and support the City’s Fire Truck tanker. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain a safe and reliable water system.
