FALL HYDRANT FLUSHING

🚨 ATTENTION: Fall Hydrant Flushing Begins Today 🚨

Starting Monday, August 25, BMU will begin our Fall Hydrant Flushing and Flow Testing. This process will continue until all hydrants have been flushed.

💧 What You Need to Know:

• You may notice temporarily cloudy water during this time.
• Before doing laundry, please run a faucet to check water clarity.

🔍 Why We Flush Hydrants:

1. Improved Water Quality – Flushing removes built-up sediment from the water mains.
2. Fire Safety & Flow Testing – Ensures hydrants provide adequate flow for fire protection and support the City’s Fire Truck tanker.
