Brookings Municipal Utilities Scholarship Program

The BMU board established a scholarship program in 1991 for Brookings High School graduates who choose to further their education at a South Dakota university, college or trade school. Two $1,000 scholarships have been awarded each spring since 1992.

BMU, an entity of the City of Brookings, supports education and encourages Brookings High School graduates to pursue higher education, particularly in South Dakota. By helping to provide educational opportunities to our youth, BMU is contributing toward improving the workforce of the state of South Dakota.
